Forgiveness is Power

forgiveness is power book coverLike many people who write self help, self empowerment, books – I write the books I most need to read! The core of my work is Spiritual Democracy: empowering people by offering the tools and techniques we need to liberate ourselves. This grows out of me sharing the best ideas I come across which really work and make a significant difference in our lives.

I don’t write about a topic unless I get ideas which offer a fresh and new perspective – as I don’t see any point in re-hashing what other people have already written. I make an effort squeeze as much value as I can into every book and not hold anything back.

I have spent nearly four decades associated with the famous Findhorn Community. My role there was to support conferences and major events there in a technical capacity. This means that I got to hear every talk at every conference and every other major event at Findhorn for a long time. I also had access to archives of material, plus all the things I learned and studied on my own as part of a thriving community very much focused on personal and planetary transformation. I often wondered when all that stuff which was going into me was going to start to come out and how that would happen!

However, what I learned at Findhorn is just the background to what I write. I write from inspiration, from a sense of ‘something needing to be written’ and invoke and invite the necessary ideas and concepts to come in a way that will be useful to people.

My first book Forgiveness is Power, often felt like I was taking dictation from some muse, or some benign presence or other. It was a delightful experience. That has led me to creating the Global Forgiveness Initiative, a charity which promotes free material on how to forgive in over 20 languages. This work is really beginning to take on a life of its own as thanks to a Google grant we are able to actively promote Forgiveness globally. It is wonderful, when I give workshops, to see people’s eyes light up, when they realize how easy it is to forgive.

My latest book Afterlife Adventures, came out of a long-term fascination with the Afterlife and a desire to promote a real and practical guide as to how we can best fit ourselves for living there. I also wanted to help reduce the amount of fear and grief around the process of ‘passing over’.

I love good ideas and that is why I am the license holder for TEDxFindhorn which is also going well thanks to a recent Caroline Myss video going viral. We also have had wonderful talks from the likes of Robert Holden.

My belief, and my experience, is that the human heart is essentially good and that given the right tools and techniques, presented in a palatable way, wonderful changes can happen. I am delighted to play whatever roles in can in helping create those changes.

I have started using my full name to promote my work as I discovered it was unique on Google. I don’t want somebody else getting the blame for something I do. 🙂

Blessings,

William
